Programmes offered in Jibape Memorial College of Nursing Sciences

The following programmes are offered in the college;

  • National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma General Nursing
  • Basic Nursing Programme
  • Basic Midwifery Programme

The programmes have been approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). More so, the graduates of Jibape Memorial College of Nursing Sciences get the following qualification depending on their mode of studies;

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing Sciences
  • Certified as Registered Nurse (RN) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Certified as Registered Midwife (RM) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council Nigeria (NMCN).

The above qualifications are gotten after passing the qualifying examination by the various councils. More so, graduates of National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma General Nursing proceed for one-year compulsory Supervise Clinical Experience (internship) programme in and approved healthcare facility or institutions. Lastly, the National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma General Nursing graduates of  Jibape Memorial College of Nursing Sciences are also mobilized for the compulsory one year National Youth Service Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Requirements for Admission into Jibape Memorial College of Nursing Sciences

Prospective candidates must possess the following before applying;

  • First, applicants for admission into Jibape Memorial College of Nursing Sciences must have at least five credit passes in their O-level result relevant subjects. These subjects include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English Language at not more than two sittings. More so, applicants for National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing Programmes must upload their O-level result(s) on JAMB CAPS in addition.
