Rivers State College of Nursing and Midwifery hereby calls on the general public and interested suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission into the various programmes of the nursing institution. The Rivers State School of Nursing is owned and managed by the Government of Rivers State, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. - The first basic requirements for admission into the Rivers State School of Nursing and Midwifery is that applicants must have completed their Senior Secondary School Education and sit for the final examination (O-level) either from WAEC, NECO, Or NABTEB. Furthermore, they must have at least five credit passes in their O-level which must include the following subjects; Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at a maximum of two sittings in addition.
- Applicants must be at least sixteen (16) years of age before applying. Underage applicants will not be attended to in addition.
- Furthermore, prospective applicants must know that they will be entrance examination for all applicants which will cover the following subjects; English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Current Affairs and General Studies. Best applicants will be selected through the examination (those with highest). Thus, admission will be best on merit.

The method of application for admission into Rivers State College of Nursing and Midwifery Port Harcourt is manually done. Thus applicants are to visit the school premises at number 22 Emekuku Street, D-line Port Harcourt, Rivers State with following documents;
- O-level Certificate (original and photocopies).
- Certificate of Origin (original and Photocopies)
- Certificate of Birth or Age Declaration.
- Lastly, three Passport Size Photograph with coloured / plain background.
