The management of Adventist College of Nursing Sciences Jengre hereby invite the general public and prospective candidates to apply for admission into various nursing programmes of the college. This admission application is for the admission of students into the 2024/2025 academic session of the college. Adventist College of Nursing Sciences is located within the premises of Seventh Day Adventist Hospital Zaria Road, Plateau State Nigeria.

More so, the Adventist College of Nursing Sciences Jengre has the mission to ensuring that their students develop the basic skills and competencies which are essentials for success in the nursing fields. Competent which can be exercise both within and outside the four walls of hospitals. There are various requirements which applicant must possess before they can go ahead to apply for admission. Programmes offered in Adventist College of Nursing Sciences Jengre

The following programmes are offered in the college;

  • National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma General Nursing
  • Basic Nursing Programme and
  • Basic Midwifery Programme

The above programmes have been given necessary accreditation by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Furthermore, the graduates of Adventist College of Nursing Sciences Jengre are awarded one of the following qualifications respectively;

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) General Nursing
  • Certified as Registered Nurse (RN) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Certified as Registered Midwife (RM) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council Nigeria (NMCN).

The above certificates are award after taking and passing the qualifying examination to be conducted by the various councils. More so, graduates of National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma General Nursing also go for the compulsory one year Supervised Clinical Experience (internship) programme in any approved healthcare facility or institutions. Lastly, the National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma General Nursing graduates of  Adventist College of Nursing Sciences also get mobilized to participate in the one year compulsory National Youth Service Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Requirements for Admission into Adventist College of Nursing Sciences

The following are the requirements which applicants must have before applying;

  • First, prospective applicants for admission into Adventist College of Nursing Sciences must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in their O-level relevant subjects. These subjects include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English Language at not more than two sittings. More so, applicants for National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing Programmes must upload their O-level result(s) on JAMB CAPS in addition. Those using NABTEB must know that all five credit pass must be gotten at one sitting.
  • Furthermore, prospective applicants for National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing Programme in Adventist College of Nursing Sciences must have registered for the just concluded JAMB and chose the Adventist College as their most preferred institution. More so, those who did not chose the college can apply but must carry out a change of institution on JAMB portal in addition.
  • More so, National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing Programme candidates into Adventist College of Nursing Sciences must have sat for the just concluded UTME and score JAMB official cut off mark for Colleges. Any subject apart from the ones mentioned above will not be considered no matter the score.
  • Lastly, the screening application fee is a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10, 000) only for all programmes.
