Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery 2024 Admission

The Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery Eleyele calls on suitably qualified applicants to apply for admission for the 2024/2025 academic session. This admission is for all the programmes offered in the institution. The Nursing training institution is owned by the Oyo State Government. More so, all programmes offered in the school has been approved by the relevant educational bodies in Nigeria like the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

Furthermore, the Nursing programmes offered by the Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences Eleyele has been fully accredited by the Nursing Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Therefore, all students from the school take their qualified examination from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria to become Registered Nurses (RN) or Registered Midwifes (RM) respectively. Programmes offered in Oyo State College of Nursing Science Eleyele

  • National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Basic General Nursing; The National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Basic General Nursing in Oyo State College of Nursing is four year non-terminal programme. The programmes commence from October, 2024 for the 2024/2025 academic session. At the end of the programmes candidates will be presented for both college and Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) final examination. These will enable them to qualify as General Nurses and also be eligible for registration as Registered Nurses (RN) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMC). Other programmes / durations of studies includes;
  • Basic Midwifery (3 years)
  • Post Basic Midwifery (18 months)
  • Community Nursing (2 years)
  • Community Midwifery (2 years)

 

Requirements for Admission into Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery

Applicants for admission into Oyo State College of Nursing must have the following to qualify for application;

  • Applicants for National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Basic General Nursing must first of all have at least five credit passes in their O-level subjects which must include Mathematics, Physics, English Language, Chemistry, and Biology at a maximum of two sittings. More so, applicants must upload their O-level result(s) on JAMB CAPS in addition.
  • More so, applicants must have participated in the last JAMB and chose Oyo State College of Nursing as their first choice institution. Thus, those who did not chose the college as their first choice institution must carry out a change of institution on JAMB portal.
  • Furthermore, applicants must have sat for the UTME and score the college cut off mark and above. The official cut off mark for Oyo State College of Nursing is 200 and above. The UTME subjects must be Use of English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in addition. Any applicants with other UTME subjects apart from the four mentioned above will not be considered for admission no matter the UTME score.
  • Lastly, applicant must be at least 17 years of age before applying. Underage applicants will not be considered for admission.

How to Apply

Applicants should follow the steps below for their hitch-free application;

  • Interested and qualified applicants are to click here to visit the Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences admission application portal.
  • Then make payment for the non-refundable screening application fee
  • Print out the PIN generated after payment of the screening application fee.
  • After printing the PIN click on the link under it to direct you to where you will complete your application form.
  • Preview all entries to correct mistakes which may deny you the chance of being given admission.
  • Then click on the Submit button to finish your application.
  • Lastly, print out the Photocard or application slip. Take it to the college for endorsements in addition.

Applicants who have difficulty making payment for the non-refundable application fee can visit the Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences ICT Centre with the debit card (ATM card) for their payment. Lastly, the College will resume on Monday 2nd October, 2024 for the 2024/2025 academic activities.
