School of Nursing Bida, and Kontagora School of nursing operate a three year programme in general nursing. The general nursing programme last for a period of three years. Furthermore, the three years programme is further split into 6 semesters of 2 semesters each academic session. Graduates are certified as Registered Nurse (RN) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) at the end of the programme.
Community Nursing Bida, and Kontagora The Community Nursing Programme is a two year programme in Community nursing. The Community nursing programme last for a period of two years. Furthermore, the two years programme is further split into 4 semesters of 2 semesters each academic session. Finally, graduates are certified as Registered Community Nurses (RCN) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) at the end of the programme.
School Of Basic Midwifery Minna and Kontagora School of Basic Midwifery operate a three years programme in Basic Midwifery. The Basic Midwifery programme last for a period of three years. Furthermore, the three years programme is further split into 6 semesters of 2 semesters each academic session. Finally, Graduates are certified as Registered Midwifes (RM) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) at the end of the programme.
Community Midwifery Minna, and Kontagora The Community Midwifery Programme is a three year programme in Community Midwifery. The Community Midwifery programme last for a period of two years. Furthermore, the two years programme is further split into 4 semesters of 2 semesters each academic session. Lastly, Graduates are certified as Registered Community Midwifery (RCM) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) at the end of the programme.

 

What Are The Requirements For Admission Into Niger State College Of Nursing Sciences?

The following are the requirements for admission into Niger State College of Nursing Sciences;

  • Applicants must have at least five credit passes in their O-level result relevant subjects which must include; Mathematics, Biology, English Language and Physics at not more than two sittings.
  • More so, applicants for Post Basic Nursing must have completed their studies on Basic Midwifery or Nursing and get certified as Registered Midwife (RM) or Registered Nurse (RN) respectively.
  • Furthermore, applicants for Post Basic Midwifery must have completed their studies on Basic Nursing or Midwifery and get certified as Registered Nursing (RN) or Registered Midwifery (RM) respectively.
  • Candidates for any of the Post Basic (Nursing or Midwifery) programmes must present their Practicing License in addition.
