At the end of the programme graduates are eligible to apply for the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) Licensure Examination to become licensed. The programme last for a period of three years of six semesters and two semesters each academic session. Furthermore, the major requirements for admission is that applicants must have at least five credit pass in their O-level relevant subjects at not more than two sittings. The subjects include; Mathematics, English language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Lastly, candidates must be at least 17 years of age before applying.
Psychiatric Nursing Programme
The Psychiatric Nursing programme is also a three year programme at NANA College of Nursing Sciences Anyingba, Kogi State. More so, the programme is divide into six semesters with two semesters for each academic session. Finally, graduates of the Psychiatric Nursing are also eligible to apply for the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) Licensure Examination to become licensed. Interested applicants must have at least five credit passes in their O-level results in the following subjects; Mathematics, English language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at maximum of two sittings. Dental Nursing Programme
The Dental Nursing Programme prepares students for professional Dental Nursing Practice at NANA College of Nursing Sciences Anyingba, Kogi State. It is also a three years programmes with six semesters. It is also divided into two semesters for each academic session. The NANA College of Nursing Sciences Anyingba also offers the Basic Nursing Programme. This programme prepares students for their professional Basic Nursing practice. At the end of the programme graduates are eligible to apply for the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) Licensure Examination to become licensed or Registered Nurses (RN). The duration of the programme is for a period of three years of six semesters and two semesters for each academic session. The basic requirements for admission is at least five credit passes in O-level relevant subjects at not more than two sittings. The relevant subjects include; Mathematics, English language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Lastly, candidates must be at least 17 years of age before applying.
Post Basic Programmes
The Post Basic Programmes offered in NANA College of Nursing Sciences Anyingba, Kogi State include the following;
- Post Basic Dental Nursing
- Post Basic Midwifery and
- Basic Nursing.
These programmes last for the duration of 18 months of two semesters. It prepares students who have completed their nursing programmes in one area of nursing to also become professionals in another nursing field.
