What are the Requirements for Admission into Kwara State College of Nursing Sciences?

The following are the Requirements for admission into Kwara State College of Nursing Sciences;

  • First, applicants for any one of the above programmes must have at least five credit passes in their O-level (WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB) result relevant subjects at a maximum of two sittings. These relevant subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. More so, for those combining WAEC/WAEC, NECO/NECO and WAEC/NECO can be combine. Then, NABTEB cannot be combined with any result. Thus, all five credits for those using NABTEB must be gotten at a maximum of one sitting only.
  • Furthermore, applicants must be at least 17 years of age before applying. Thus, underage applicants will not be welcome.
  • More so, applicants for Post Basic Nursing and Post Basic Midwifery programmes must have completed their Basic Nursing and Basic Midwifery Programmes respectively. This is in addition to the five credit passes in relevant O-level subjects. They must have their practicing License in addition.
Other Requirements
  • Also, applicants for National Diploma (ND) Nursing Science must have registered for the just concluded JAMB and chose Kwara State College of Nursing Sciences Ilorin as their first choice institution. More so, those who did not chose Kwara State College of Nursing Sciences as their first choice institution must carry out a change of institution on JAMB Portal. Also they must have taken the just concluded UTME and score 180 above in the following UTME subjects combination; Use of English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Those in this category must upload their O-level result of JAMB CAPS in addition.
  • Lastly, the screening application fee for those applying for National Diploma (ND) Basic Nursing is a non-refundable fee of N17,800 only.
