The college offers the following programmes;

Basic Nursing Programme

The Basic Nursing Programme at the College of Nursing Sciences Tambuwal Sokoto has the duration of three (3) years period. More so, the three years (3) programme has six (6) semesters with two semesters in each academic session. Also, graduates of Basic Nursing Programme get registered as Registered Nurse by the Nurse and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) after their qualifying examinations supervised by the council.

Basic Midwifery Programme

The Basic Midwifery Programme at the College of Nursing Sciences Tambuwal Sokoto is also a three (3) years programme. More so, the basic midwifery programme comprises of Six (6) semesters with two (2) semesters each academic session. Lastly, graduates get registered as Registered Midwifes (RM) by the Nurses and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) after their final qualifying examinations supervise by the council.

Community Nursing and Community Midwifery Programmes

The community nursing and Community Midwifery programmes at College of Nursing Tambuwal are 2 years programme of four semesters. The programmes are design for the training of students to becoming professional midwifes and nurses at the community level. More so, it is an accredited programme in the college. At the end of the programme, graduates are awarded certificates in community nursing or Community midwifery respectively by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

Requirements for Admission into College of Nursing Sciences Tambuwal Sokoto

The following are the requirements for admission into the college;

  • First, candidates seeking for admission into College of Nursing Sciences Tambuwal Sokoto must have completed their Senior Secondary School and obtain their O-level certificate (WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB). More so, they must have at least five credit passes in their O-level relevant subjects. These subjects must include: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language, and Physics at a maximum of two sittings.
  • Applicant must be at least 17 years of age before applying.
