The management of National Orthopaedic Hospital Igbobi Lagos located at 120/124 Ikorodu Road, Lagos calls for applications from suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission in their College of Nursing and College of Orthopaedic Technology. The admission is open for Full Time Programmes of the College of Nursing Sciences (CONS) and also for the Federal College of Orthopaedic Technology (FECOT).

The following programmes are offered in College of Nursing Sciences National Orthopaedic Hospital Lagos;

  • National Diploma (ND) – Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing Sciences: The National Diploma (ND) – Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing Sciences in College of Nursing Sciences National Orthopaedic Hospital Lagos is a four year programmes. More so, the four years is further split in 8 semesters of 2 semesters each academic year. Also, it is a non-terminal programme. After the first two years of National Diploma, students proceed for the one year compulsory internship programme. Furthermore, on completion of the Higher National Diploma (HND) programme students are inducted as Registered Nurses (RN) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Lastly, they also go for the one year compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC).
  • National Diploma Orthopaedic Cast Technology (OCT) / Prosthetics and Orthotics Technology (POT): This programme is a two years programme at College of Nursing Sciences National Orthopaedic Hospital Lagos. It has a total of four semesters of two semesters for each academic session. At the end of the programme graduates are awarded a National Diploma Certificate (ND) in Orthopaedic Cast Technology (OCT) / Prosthetics and Orthotics Technology (POT).

Applicants for this programme must have completed their National Diploma (ND) in Orthopaedic Cast Technology (OCT) / Prosthetics and Orthotics Technology (POT). They must also have completed their one year compulsory Internship Programme after their National Diploma (ND). More so, the programme has four semesters which is two semesters per academic session. Lastly, completion of the programme, graduates are awarded a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Orthopaedic Cast Technology (OCT) / Prosthetics and Orthotics Technology (POT).
  • Tech Prosthetics and Orthotics: This is a five years Degree programme offered in College of Nursing Sciences National Orthopaedic Hospital Lagos. The programme is in Affiliation with the federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State. On completion of the programme, applicants are offered a Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Technology (B.TECH)

What are the Requirements for Admission into College of Nursing Sciences National Orthopaedic Hospital Lagos?

The follow are the admission requirements into College of Nursing Sciences National Orthopaedic Hospital Lagos;

  • First, prospective applicants into any one of the programmes above must have at least five credit passes in their O-level relevant subjects at a maximum of two sittings. The relevants subjects must include; Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English Language. For those using two sittings WAEC/WAEC, WAEC/NECO, and NECO/WAEC can be combine while those using NABTEB must have their five credit at one sitting. Lastly, National Diploma (ND) and B-TECH applicants must upload their O-level result(s) on JAMB CAPs
  • Furthermore, excerpt for Higher National Diploma Applicants, other applicants must have registered for just concluded JAMB and chose College of Nursing Sciences National Orthopaedic Hospital Lagos as their first choice institution.   • Prospective candidates must not be less than 17 years of age.

  • One recent Passport size Photograph on a white plain background.
