What are the Programmes Offered in Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences?
The Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma in Basic Nursing. The National Diploma (ND) Higher National Diploma (HND) Basic Nursing programme at Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences is a four years programme. Two years for National Diploma (ND) and two years of Higher National Diploma (HND). On conclusion of the programme, graduates are registered as Registered Nurse (RN) in addition.
Furthermore, the National Diploma (ND) Higher National Diploma (HND) Basic Nursing programme at Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences has been approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). More so, he two programmes have been given accreditation by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Lastly, the Higher National Diploma graduate proceed to the one year compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC).

What are the Requirements for Admission into Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing?
The following are the requirements for 2025 admission into Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing;
- Applicants for admission into Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing must have at least five credit passes in their O-level relevant subjects. These relevant subjects must include: Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Physics and Chemistry at a maximum of sitting. Applicants with Awaiting Result (AR) should not apply in addition.
- Also, applicant using NABTEB result cannot combine their result. Thus, all five credit passes must be gotten at one sitting
- Application is open for candidates who took part in the just concluded 2025 JAMB registration and UTME.
- More so, application is open for those score 180 or above in UTME. UTME subjects must include English, physics, biology and chemistry.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) Basic Nursing applicants must have completed their National Diploma (ND) Basic Nursing.
- Furthermore, interested applicant must be 16 years of age or above. Underage applicant will not be entertain.
- More so, applicants must sit for the entrance examination to be conducted by the school.
- More so, Screening registration fee is a non-refundable fee of N16,000 only for indigene and N24,000 only for non-indigene. Below is the breakdown of the registration fee payment.

Application Details
Application for admission starts on; 18 August 2025. Interested applicants must make sure that they submit their application before the closing date as they will be no extension date for submission in addition.

The method of application for admission into Akwa Ibom state college of Nursing is online. Interested applicants must apply online on or before the closing date. Use the steps below to start your application.

- Create an account using an active email address address and phone number.
- Visit your email box to Activate your account
- Select from the dropdown the school of nursing you want to study (eket, Anua, Itu Mbang, Ikot Ekpene, and Oron).
- Upload your Passport and enter your next of kin name with phone number. Also upload the following documents.
- Certificate of Local Government of Origin
- Certificate of Birth or Age Declaration
- Evidence of Change of Name (if applicable).
- Upload the following Educational Certificate: FSLC, WAEC, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB, JAMB result slip.
- Submit your application
- Lastly, print out your application acknowledgement slip. This will be use during entrance examination.
Note: Application for admission into Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences for ND/HND is done online. Everything can be done at your location.
Date of Entrance Examination: This has not been fixed yet. Always check back for updates. Therefore, applicants should note that only successful candidates at the entrance examination shall be shortlisted for the next stage of the admission process.
