The faculty of Engineering in the Modibbo Adama University is a very competitive faculty. Therefore, applicants for anyone of the programs under this faculty should have an impressive score on their UTME. Scoring the MAU cut off mark which is 160 is not enough as admission with such score will be difficult to get in this faculty. Thus, applicants should score from 220 to 250 to have a greater chance of admission. Those with less score can also apply for the MAU post UTME under the faculty of engineering.

The limited admission slot of the faculty always meet high number of post UTME applicants. It therefore means that applicants to this college with lower score from 200 to 160 are at disadvantage of being given admission. Applicants to this faculty should score at least from 270 to 300 for a greater advantage of being given admission. Therefore, to avoid the issue of spending another one year at home due to lower JAMB score, applicants with lower JAMB score should have a change of program to another faculty which is less competitive.
