The ABU cut off mark is 170 while JAMB cut off mark is 140. Due to administrative convenience the management of Ahmadu Bello University have to step up their cut off mark to be higher than that of JAMB. The faculty of Allied Health Sciences is also a very competitive faculty in the Ahmadu Belo University, Zaria. Since the faculty houses programs such as Nursing Science, Medical Lab. Science and Radiography which are all professional programs makes the faculty very competitive. Therefore, applicants to programs under this faculty should score from 260 to 280 to have a greater chance of being given admission in the faculty.

Those with less UTME score can also apply but will have a lower chance of admission. Applicants for programs under this faculty should not only have or surpass the University cut off mark. They should score from 250 to 270 to really be sure of being given admission. Another most competitive faculty in the Ahmadu Bello University is the faculty of law. Furthermore, the faculty of pharmacy is another highly competitive faculty in the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The only existing undergraduate program in this faculty is Pharmacy. FACULTY OF CLINICAL SCIENCES

The faculty of Clinical Sciences houses programs like Medicine and surgery which is very competitive. It is on note that medicine and surgery always have a very limited slots to be fill by a large numbers of applicants with high UTME score. Therefore, applicants to such program as medicine and surgery should score from 290 to 320 to be guaranteed of admission.

Those with lower UTME score can also apply as the application for Admadu Bello University is open to everyone who scored from 180 and above. The only issue with lower score is that it does not guarantee admission.
