National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing Programme

The National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) is one of the key programmes offered in Peacock College of Nursing, Akure. The programme is a non-terminal programmes spanning for a period of 4 years. The National Diploma (ND) Nursing has a period of two years and the Higher National Diploma has a period of two years making it four years. The National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) at Peacock College of Nursing Akure has been approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

Furthermore, the National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) has also been accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).  Thus, graduates of National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing are inducted as Registered Nurses (RN) on conclusion of the programme. Admission Requirements

The following are the admission requirements for those seeking admission into Peacock College of Nursing Sciences Akure;

  • First, prospective applicant for admission into any programme at Peacock College of Nursing must have completed their Senior Secondary School and have taken their final SSCE. More so, they must have a minimum of five credit pass in their O-level (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or GCE) result(s) relevant subjects. Furthermore, the subjects must include Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology at a maximum of two sittings.
  • More so, applicants for National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing programme must have registered for the just concluded JAMB and chose Peacock College of Nursing as their first choice institution. Thus, those who did not must carry out a change of institution on JAMB portal and put the college as their first choice. They must upload their O-level result(s) also on JAMB CAPS in addition
  • Applicants must be at least 17 years of age before applying.
  • Application is accepted from both Nigerians and Non-Nigerian
  • Lastly, applicants with Awaiting Result should not apply.
