The management of SAJO College of Nursing Sciences Kebbi State invites the general public and interested applicants to apply for the 2024 admission. This is for the admission of new students into the various academic programmes of the institution for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Furthermore, the SAJO College of Nursing Science has the mission to strengthening and also improving the healthcare skills and knowledge of frontline Nurses and Midwives in Kebbi State and Nigeria. The following programmes are offered in SAJO College of Nursing Sciences Kebbi State;

National Diploma (ND) Higher National Diploma (HND) Basic Nursing

The National Diploma (ND) Higher National Diploma (HND) Basic Nursing programme at SAJO College of Nursing Sciences Kebbi State is a four years programme. Two years is for National Diploma (ND) and two is years of Higher National Diploma (HND). On conclusion of the programme, graduates are registered as Registered Nurse (RN). Lastly, graduate of the Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing proceed to the compulsory one year National Youth Service Corp (NYSC).

Basic Nursing Programme

The Basic Nursing programme is a three years with 6 semester programme at SAJO College of Nursing Sciences Kebbi State. More so, the programme is further divided into 2 semesters for each academic session. Lastly, graduates of the basic nursing programme are registered as Registered Nurse (RN) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

Basic Midwifery Programme

The Basic Midwifery programme takes care of training future midwifes who will take care of prenatal care, antenatal care and post-natal care. More so, basic midwifery programme is a three year programme with six semester programme. The programme is further divided into two semesters for each academic session. Lastly, graduates are registered as Registered Midwifes (RM) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

Post Basic Nursing and Post Basic Midwifery Programme

The Post Basic Nursing and Post Basic Midwifery Programme at SAJO College of Nursing Sciences Kebbi State are eighteen (18) months each programmes. These programmes have three (3) academic semesters. Furthermore, these programmes are designed for Nurses who wishes to be Registered Midwifes and Registered Midwifes (RM) who wishes to be Nurses. Lastly, applicants for this programmes in SAJO College of Nursing Sciences Kebbi State must have their practicing license.

Community Nursing Programme;

The Community Nursing Programme is designed for the training of competent community-based cadre of nursing practitioners who will managed and implement nursing services to communities especially at the local level. Thus, the graduates of this programmes will practice at the various local community clinics and dispensaries existing in difference villages of the Kebbi State and Nigeria.

Community Midwifery Programmes

The Community Midwifery programme is just as the community Nursing programme. It is a two years programme. The community Midwifery programme is aimed at preparing lower cadre of competent and skilled midwifes for various local communities. They are to provide antenatal services to the expectant mothers at primary healthcare centres and other health facilities at the various rural communities.

What Are The Requirements For Admission Into Sajo College Of Nursing Sciences Kebbi State?

The following are the requirements for admission into SAJO College of Nursing Sciences Kebbi State;

  • First applicants for General Nursing, Basic Midwifery, Post Basic Midwifery, and Post Basic Nursing must have at least five credit passes in their O-level relevant subjects. The relevant subjects must include; Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, English Language and Physics at a maximum of two sittings. More so, WAEC/WAEC or WAEC/NECO, and NECO/NECO can be combine while all five credits for those using NABTEB must be gotten at one sitting.
  • More so, applicants for Community Nursing and Community Midwifery must have at least four credit passes in their O-level result relevant subjects. The relevant subjects include Biology and English Language and any other two of the following; chemistry, physics or mathematics at a maximum of two sittings.
  • Applicants for National Diploma (ND) Nursing must have registered for JAMB and chose SAJO College of Nursing Sciences Kebbi State as their first choice institution. Those who did not must carry out a change of institution on JAMB Portal. More so, they must have taken the UTME on the following subjects; Use of English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Lastly, you must upload your O-level on JAMB CAPS in addition.
  • Furthermore, applicants for Higher National Diploma (HND) Basic Nursing must have completed their National Diploma (ND) Basic Nursing. They must have been inducted as Registered Nurses (RN) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). They must also have their practicing License in addition.
Other Requirements Include;
  • Applicants must be at least 17 years of age before application. Underage applicant will not be entertain in addition.
  • Also, applicant for Post Basic Nursing and Post Basic Midwifery must have completed their Basic Nursing and Basic Midwifery programmes respectively. They must have been inducted as Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwifes (RM) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) in addition.
  • Lastly, applicants for Post Basic Nursing and Post Basic Midwifery must have their practicing License. This must be presented during screening in addition.
