The Government of Akwa State is set to open an application portal for continuous recruitment of teachers into the Akwa Ibom State Universal Basic Education Board. The announcement for the Teachers Recruitment application portal opening was made by Akwa Ibom State Government. More so, the announcement for the Recruitment was made on 23 June, 2025 via the official Facebook page of Akwa Ibom State government. According to the announcement, the Akwa Ibom State Civil Service recruitment portal will go live for interested and qualified applicants to submit their bio-data and upload their credentials. Requirement for Application into Akwa Ibom Teachers Recruitment Application Portal.
Before an applicant is selected he/she must qualified for the position of teacher in a related academic field. The following are the requirements for Akwa Ibom State Teachers Recruitment.
- Bachelors’ Degree in Education: Applicants who are graduates of First Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) from any NUC recognized institution around the world can also apply. Degree holders must be graduate of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Graduate Higher National Diploma must have a Diploma in Education in addition.Their field of Studies must relate to the subject they intend to teach.
- National Certificate for Education (NCE): Applicants with this level of education must also apply for subjects which are related to their field of studies. More so, they must obtain their certificates from recognized College of Education in Nigeria.
- More so, all applicants must have a minimum of five credit passes in their O-level result including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings.
- All applicants must have their First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC).
- Lastly, applicant for the position of teachers must be at least 18 years of age before submitting their data. Underage applicants for employment into Akwa Ibom State teahers Recruitment will not be attended to.
