  • National Diploma (ND) Nursing
  • Basic Nursing Programme
  • Basic Midwifery Programme
  • Post Basic Nursing Programme
  • Post Basic Midwifery Programme
  • Community Nursing Programme
  • Community Midwifery Programme

The National Diploma (ND) Nursing Programme have been approve by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). More so, it has a duration of two years academic sessions of 4 semesters (two semesters each). Graduates of the programmes get National Diploma Certificate in Nursing Sciences at the end of the programme. Furthermore, applicants for the National Diploma (ND) Nursing must have taken participated in the just concluded JAMB.

More so, the other six programmes has been given accreditation by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Thus, applicants can go ahead to apply for any one of them which they have interest in and poses their various qualification.

Requirements for Admission into Taraba State College of Nursing Sciences Jalingo

Basic Nursing Programme Five Credit pass in O-level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) in the following subjects; English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

 
Basic Midwifery Programme Five Credit pass in O-level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) in the following subjects; English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

 
Post Basic Nursing Programme Five Credit pass in O-level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) in the following subjects; English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

Practicing License in addition.
Community Nursing Programme 4 Credit pass in O-level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) in the following subjects; English Language, Biology. More so, any other two subjects from Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics
Community Midwifery Programme 4 Credit pass in O-level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) in the following subjects; English Language, Biology. More so, any other two subjects from Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics
Post Basic Midwifery Programme Five Credit pass in O-level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) in the following subjects; English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

Practicing License in addition.

 

  • Applicant must be from 16 – 36 years of age before applying.
  • More so, all applicants must know that O-level must be at a maximum of two sittings.

Admission Application Schedule

  • National Diploma (ND) Nursing admission form starts from August – September. Screening takes place on September – October.
  • Community Nursing Programme admission starts form August – September. Also, screening takes place from September – October.
  • Post Basic Nursing programme admission commence from January – February. Screening also takes place same period.
