The National hospital Abuja offer the following post basic nursing programmes;

Post Basic Nephrology Nursing 12 months (one year)
Post Basic Oncology Nursing 12 months (one year)

Although both programmes run for a period of one year respectively, there are provisions for intensive training of students. This covers both theoretical and practical exposure for students which takes them to a professional level in addition.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants for admission must meet the following requirements for any of the programmes above:

  • Interested applicants must have at least five credit passes in O-level. The five subjects must include: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and English Language at a maximum of two sitting.
  • More so, applicants must be Registered Nurses (RN) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • They must have their own current Practicing License from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Lastly, applicant using NABTEB must obtained all five credit passes at one sitting.
