What Are The Requirements For Admission Into College Of Nursing Kano?
The following requirements are as stipulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria for admission into the College of Nursing Kano.
- First, applicants for admission must have at least five credit passes in their O-level relevant subjects. These subjects must include Biology, Physics, Mathematics, English language and Chemistry at not more than two sittings.
- Furthermore, candidates for Community Midwifery must be from the Local government outside Kano Metropolis. Also, applicants who are from Kumbotso and Unogoggo can also apply in addition.
- More so, interest candidates can apply for programmes such as Community or Basic midwifery at anyone of the campuses mention above.
- Also, applicants for the Post UTME must have registered for the just concluded JAMB and chose the College of Nursing Kano as their first choice institution. Those who did not chose the college of nursing Kano as their first choice must carry out a change of institution on JAMB portal. - Post UTME applicant must also upload their O-level result on JAMB CAPS in addition. Thus, failure to upload the result will deny such applicants their admission opportunity.
- Lastly, applicants must be at least seventeen (17) years of age before applying. Those under the age of 17 will not be attended to in addition.
What Are The Requirements For Admission Into Post Basic Nursing Programme College Of Nursing Kano?
- Applicants for Post Basic Nursing Programme must have their Professional certificate / Notification of Registration as a Midwife from Nurses and Midwife Council of Nigeria (NMC). Applicants must have five credit passes in their O-level subjects in their relevant subjects as mentioned above.
What Are The Requirements For Admission Into Community Nursing Programme College Of Nursing Kano?
- Applicants for admission into Community Nursing Programme must have at least four credit passes in their O-level relevant subjects. These subjects must include Biology and English Language with any two other subjects at not more than two sittings. More so, applicants can combine WAEC, GCE, or NECO in addition.
- Lastly, applicants must be at least seventeen (17) years of age before applying. Those under the age of 17 will not be attend to in addition.
