The college offers the following programmes:
General Nursing Education: The Jigawa college of Nursing Sciences General Nursing Education is a six –semester programme of three (3) years. In the first year of the course, programmes are designated in four digits (this represent level, credit load, and semester for the last two (2) respectively). The programme has BGN (Basic General Nursing). The courses in the second and also the third years of study are designated as that of the first year which also have the same prefix BGN (Basic General Nursing).
Basic Midwifery Programme: This is another basic nursing programme offered in Jigawa State College of Nursing Sciences. The Basic Midwifery programmes is a six (6) semester programmes of three (3) years of intensive studies. The courses in the first (1st) year are also designated in four (4) digits which are (representing level, credit load, and semester which is for the last two (2) digits respectively). The midwifery programme have BMP (Basic Midwifery Programme) as prefix. The Basic Midwifery courses in the second and third semesters of studies are also designated as that of the first year with BMP (Basic Midwifery Programme) as prefix.

Post Basic Midwifery Programme: There are four (4) semesters of 18 months of studies in the Post Basic Midwifery Programme. Also, the courses in the first year of programmes are also designed in four digits (representing level, credit load and also semester for the last two digits). The Post Basic Midwifery Programme have the PBMP as prefix.
Post Basic Nursing Programmes: The last programme offered in Jigawa State College of Nursing Sciences is Post Basic Nursing Programme. This programme is designed to be four (4) semester programme (which comprises of 18 months) of study. The prefix for the Post Basic Nursing Programme is PBGN (Post Basic General Nursing).

What are the Requirements for Admission into Jigawa State College of Nursing Sciences?
Interested applicants must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in their O-level result relevant subjects. These subjects must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology, chemistry, and physics at a maximum of two sittings. Applicants with NABTEB result can only combine NABTEB and NABTEB. Thus, NABTEB cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO. Lastly, applicants with awaiting result should not apply.

More so, during the JAMB registration, the Jigawa State College of Nursing sciences must have been chosen as their first choice institution. In addition, those who did not chose the school must carry out a change of institution on JAMB portal.
