General Regulations Governing University Admission
Applicants with sufficient qualification for a proposes course of study maybe offered admission to Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University if they have reach the age of 16 on the first day of October in the year of their propose admission.
- Applicants who are seeking for admission into any course of study must complete the appropriate application form from Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). More so, UTME entry or 100 level must take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- For admission into any one of the Degree courses, applicants must satisfy the entrance requirements of the University. Furthermore, for certain degree programmes, faculty or departmental requirements may be satisfied in addition.
- Applicants who are granted admission must submit themselves to the admission office for scrutiny. Therefore, all certificates and other acceptable documentary evidence of examination and age qualification.
- The University management reserves the full right to accept or reject an application for admission to any particular course of study in the University.
- Furthermore, the University reserves the full right to withdraw an offer for admission if at any time it is discovered that the result(s) or Certificate(s) which candidate was given admission upon is fake/forged.
What Are The Requirements for IBBU Post UTME/DE?
Read below if you are about to apply for Admission into IBB University through IBBU 2024 Post UTME:
- Applicants must have completed their full course of training in the Senior Secondary School (SSS). They may have completed it in an approved college or institute of equivalent status.
- Candidates must have one or more of the following qualifications; WAEC, NECO, or GCE, with at least five credit passes in relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings.
- Furthermore, Teachers Grade II Certificate is accepted for education courses only at Credit/Merit pass in at least five relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language.
- Lastly, NABTEB O-level with at least five credit passes in relevant including Mathematics and English Language at one sitting.
What Are The Requirements for IBBU 2024 Direct Entry?
Read below if you are about to apply for Admission into IBB University through IBBU 2024 Direct Entry:
- Applicants must have at least two Credit passes at Advanced Level result.
- Applicants must also have at least five credit passes at O-level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB) result(s) relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings.
- Those with National Diploma must have Upper credit with five credit passes at O-level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB) result(s) relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language at maximum of two sittings.
- Also, applicants with NCE must have Credit Passes in two major subjects. Must have at least five credit passes at O-level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB) result(s) relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings in addition. Lastly, Education is accepted as a third A-level subject only for those taking programmes in the faculty of education.
- Applicants using Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examinations must have at least two passes at minimum of C grade. Also, they must have at least five credit passes at O-level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB) result(s) relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language at maximum of two sittings.
