Due to new policy which is candidates-self based procedure, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced new procedures on how to accept admission in 2025. It has also introduced new ways on how candidates retrieve their password incase their password get misplaced. How to Retrieve JAMB Password in 2025
In the previous years the email method was used by jamb to retrieved password for candidates who misplaced their password. This was done through jamb portal. Thus, in this method candidates had to visit jamb portal and then click on retrieve password and supply the email used for their registration. The password will be sent to their email inbox.
In the new method introduced by jamb it’s simple to use. Candidates do not need to visit any cyber cafe or cbt to retrieve their password. The new method for retrieval of password is simple. In this method, candidates only need to send text as SMS PASSWORD to 55019 or 66019. On the completion of this action, N50 airtime will be charged from their account and their jamb password will be delivered to their phone as SMS.
Thus, candidates must make sure they have up to N50 airtime balance in their phone for this action to be successful. Once the password is sent, make sure you keep it safely for your use at some other time. Therefore, do not bother trying to use the old method to retrieve your jamb password it will not be successful. More so, no need visiting a cyber cafe or CBT to retrieve your password to avoid being charge for nothing.
How to Accept Admission on Jamb Portal
In the previous years login to jamb portal to accept admission was used by jamb for candidates who wishes to accept their admission. This was mainly done through jamb portal. Thus, in this method candidates had to visit jamb portal and then login with their email and password (the email used for their jamb registration).
The new method of accepting admission introduced by jamb in 2025 is simple to use by all candidates. It does not need internet connecrion to use. Furthermore, candidates do not need to visit any cyber cafe or cbt to accept their admission. The new method for accepting admission is simple. In this method, candidates only new to send text as SMS ACCEPT to 55019 or 66019. On the completion of this action, N50 airtime will be charged from their account and a message will be sent to their to them as SMS for the action being successful.
Thus, for this to be successful, candidates must make sure they have up to N50 airtime balance (not bonus airtime) in their phone before starting. Once this is successful, candidates can go ahead and login to their jamb portal to print their admission letter. More so, do not bother trying to use the old method to accept your jamb admission in 2025 it will not be successful. More so, no need visiting a cyber cafe or CBT for initial accepting of your admission to avoid being charge for nothing.
