The Bayelsa Medical University invite prospective candidates for admission into the various medical programmes of the school.  This notice is for admission into the 2024/2025 academic session of the Bayelsa Medical University. What are the Requirements for BMU Post UTME/DE 2024?

  • Both UTME and Direct Entry applicants for the BMU Post UTME/DE 2024 must registered the just concluded 2024 UTME. During the registration must have chosen Bayelsa Medical University as their first choice institution. Those who did chose Bayelsa Medical University as first choice must carry out a change of institution on JAMB portal.
  • UTME applicants for BMU Post UTME/DE 2024 must score the required Bayelsa State University cut off mark and above. The Bayelsa Medical University does not have the cut off mark for all programme. Therefore, applicants should click here to view the cut off mark for all the programmes offered in Bayelsa Medical University. If your cut off mark is lower than that of the programme/course you want to study, then you are advice to change programme to the one that favours your cut off mark.
  • Direct Entry applicants for BMU Post UTME/DE 2024 must have relevant certificate in any one of the following: B.Sc. / HND / ND / NCE / A-Level (IJMB, JUPEB and Institute of Baccalaureate). The mentioned certificate may be considered for admission through Direct Entry. Lastly, the Bayelsa Medical University also admit student from other Universities through University Transfer but this students must have the appropriate or required CGPA in addition.

Other Requirements Include:

  • Both Direct Entry and UTME applicants for BMU Post UTME/DE 2024 must have at least five credit passes in their O-level (SSCE / NECO / NABTEB) relevant subjects. These subject five subjects must include Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sitting.
  • Both Direct Entry and UTME applicants for BMU Post UTME/DE 2024 must upload their O-level result(s) on JAMB CAPS. More so, Direct Entry applicants must upload their O-level result alongside their relevant Certificates on JAMB CAPS. Lastly, this is a pre-condition for admission.
  • Screening application fee of non-refundable fee of Two thousand Naira (N2000) only.

How to Apply for BMU Post UTME/DE 2024

The method off application for BMU Post UTME/DE 2024 is strictly ONLINE. Thus, online method will be used for the screening of applicants. This will be done through the screening of applicants’ results (UTME, O-Level, and Advanced Certificate). On this note, Post UTME / Direct Entry applicants should fill the form carefully, scan and upload the following credentials during their online application.

  • Coloured Passport size photograph with plain background.
  • 2024 Years UTME original Result slip
  • Certificate of Birth or Statutory Declaration of Age
  • WAEC / NECO / NABTEB Scratch Card(s) details as applicable for the confirmation of result(s)
  • O-level Result(s) with at least five credit passes in relevant subjects.
  • Sc. / HND / ND / A-level Certificate (this is strictly for Direct Entry applicants only)
  • Lastly, Certificate of Origin.
