Basic Nursing and Community Nursing Programmes:
The aim and objective of Basic Nursing and Community Nursing is for preparation of competent polyvalent nursing professionals who will make use of special problem solving skills to provide safe, welcoming, effective and economical health services to carter for the health needs of the community at all level.

The aim of the Basic Midwifery and Community Midwifery programme at Dansharif College of Nursing is the preparation of competent, skilled, versatile and also autonomous midwifery practitioners. This is to equip them to be capable of providing high standard health care services to communities at large.
The Basic Midwifery and Community Midwifery Programme at Dansharif College of Nursing Sciences Kano last for the duration of three (3) years. The programme is designed for the training of midwives who are critical to delivery of safe natal healthcare services at community level. At the completion of the programmes students will be able to function as competent midwifes in primary Health care, carry out independent judgement in antenatal issue, and also manage midwifery problems. Lastly, on graduation will be registered as Registered Midwifery (RM).
