It is true that what we used to know as the School of Nursing Zonkwa has now been upgraded into a College of Nursing Sciences. This great news came up after many years of hard work by the management of theof the college. The work involved setting up the facility to get the standard required for upgrading. More so, the college is hopeful to commence the programmes for training in National Diploma (ND) Nursing and Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing in October 2024.

What are the Requirements for Admission into College of Nursing Science St Louis Zonkwa?

The following are the requirement for admission into the College of Nursing Science St Louis Zonkwa:

  • Interested applicants for any one of the above programmes must have at least five credit passes in their O-level relevant subjects. These subjects must include; Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language, and Physics at not more than two sittings.
  • Applicants for National Diploma (ND) Nursing must have registered for the just concluded JAMB and score a considerable point in their UTME. More so, they must carry out a change of institution on JAMB portal and chose College of Nursing Science St Louis Hospital Zonkwa as first choice institution. Also, their UTME subject combination must include; Use of English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. They must also upload their O-level result on JAMB CAPS in addition.
  • Furthermore, applicants for Post Basic Nursing and Post Basic Midwifery must have completed their Basic Nursing and Basic Midwifery programme respectively. They must have been inducted into the National Council for Nursing and Midwifery (NCNM) as Registered Nurses (RN) and Registered Midwives (RM). Also, they must have their practicing License.
  • Also, applicants for Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing must have completed their National Diploma (ND) Nursing. Furthermore, they must have their practicing License and some years of practicing experience in addition.
  • Lastly, applicants for the Basic Nursing and National Diploma (ND) Nursing must be at least 17 years of age before applying. Thus, any applicant under the age of 17 will not be considered for admission
