The following programmes are offered in Al-Ma’arif College of Nursing Potiskum Yobe State;
- School of Nursing – Basic General Nursing Programme
- School of Midwifery – Basic Midwifery Programme
The above programmes in Al-Ma’arif College of Nursing Potiskum Yobe State have been accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). More so, the basic nursing and midwifery programmes are three (3) years programmes of six semesters each. Furthermore, the graduates of the Basic Nursing and Midwifery programmes in Al-Ma’arif (College) School of Nursing Potiskum Yobe State get certified as Registered Nurses (RN) or Registered Midwifes (RM) respectively by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). General Requirements
Interested applicants for any of the programmes above at School Of Nursing Potiskum must possess the following requirements
- Prospective applicant must be at least 17 years of age before applying.
- Applicants for Basic Nursing and Midwifery programmes must have a minimum of five credit passes in their O-level subjects. These subjects must include; Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
- More so, applicants must know that their O-level result must be gotten at a maximum of two sittings.
Application for admission starts from September.
