Important Requirements for Petroleum Training institute Post UTME into National Diploma Programme

  • First, applicant for Post UTME must have GCE O/Level, or SSCE (WAEC or NECO) with at least credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language at a maximum of two sittings.
  • More so, National Technical Certificate which must be relevant to the Diploma programme of application. With five credit passes in relevant O-level subjects including Mathematics and English language at not more than two sittings.
  • National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) with five (5) credit passes in relevant O-level subjects including Mathematics and English language at a maximum of two sittings in addition.
  • Furthermore, applicants for 2025 Post UTME admission into Petroleum Training institute must have participated in the 2025 JAMB registration. They must have chosen Petroleum Training institute Effurun as their first choice institution. Those who did not chose the school as their first choice institution must carry out a change of institution on JAMB portal. Then wait for some time before going forward to apply for the post UTME.
  • Also, post UTME applicants must upload their O-level and other certificate(s) on JAMB CAPS before they can have access to their admission.
  • Post UTME applicants for admission into Petroleum Training institute must have the school JAMB cut off mark and above. The official cut off mark for admission into Petroleum Training institute Effurun is 120 with required UTME subjects. Thus, applicants must make sure that they chose the right UTME subjects combination for their propose course of study during JAMB registration.
  • Lastly, applicant using National Technical Certification, and National Business and Technical Board must pass the trade component/subjects relevant to their programme of choice.
Requirements for Admission into Petroleum Training institute Effurun Higher National Diploma (HND) Programme
  • First, applicant for anyone of the Higher National Diploma (HND) courses must have GCE O/Level, or SSCE (WAEC or NECO) with a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language at a maximum of two sittings.
  • More so, applicant must have completed their National Diploma (ND) programme in relevant courses which they are applying to study in Higher National Diploma. This must be obtained at a grade not lower than grade of C or Lower Credit or Pass grade in addition.
  • Higher National Diploma applicants must complete their one year post-qualification cognate industrial work experience. Applicants with a Pass Grade in National Diploma must have completed their two years post-qualification cognate industrial work experience in addition.

The requirements for Post HND include;

  • Five credit passes in relevant O-level result including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings.
  • Higher National Diploma from relevant field
