Programmes offered in Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa

The federal polytechnic Nasarawa offers the following programmes

National Diploma (ND); this is a two years programme of two academic session with four semesters. Graduate of this programme are awarded National Diploma (ND) certificate. More, graduates of National Diploma (ND) can proceed to their Higher National Diploma (HND) after completing their Industrial Attachment (IT). They can also be admitted into any university to state in level 200 for a degree programme through Direct Entry (DE) admission

Higher National Diploma (HND): This is also another two years programme of four semesters in two academic session. Graduate proceed to the one year compulsory National youth service Corp and also are awarded with a Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate. Furthermore, graduate here can also proceed to Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in any university of their choice.

Post Graduate Programme: This is a 18 months programme. This is designed for candidate who wishes to go into academic and science research in technology. Graduate of this programme are awarded Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) certificate. They can then proceed to study M.Sc. in any universities of their choice.

Requirements for 2025 post UTME/ HND Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa State

Interested applicant must have the following:

  • First of all, applicants for anyone of the programmes above must have at least five credit passes in their O-level relevant subjects. These subjects must include mathematics and English Language at a maximum of two sittings. Also, Post UTME applicants must upload their O-level result on JAMB CAPS. Candidates who do not upload their result will not see their admission.
  • Furthermore, Post UTME applicants must have participated in the just concluded JAMB. Then, they must have chosen the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa State as their first choice institution. Those who did not can apply but they must carry out a change of institution on JAMB portal.
  • More so, post UTME applicant must participate in UTME and score at least 120 and above in their UTME which is the official cut off mark for Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa. The score must come from relevant subject combination.
  • Applicant for Higher National Diploma (HND) must have completed their National Diploma programme with at least a lower credit from any recognized institution. More so, applicants from other polytechnic must submit their transcript to the office of the registrar Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa.
  • Also, Higher National Diploma (HND) applicant must submit their letter of completion of their one year compulsory Industrial Attachment before admission can be given.
  • Finally, applicants for Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) must have completed their Higher National Diploma (HND) and obtained their certificate with at least a lower credit point. They must show evidence of completion of their one year compulsory National Youths Service corps (NYSC) or exemption/exclusion certificate.
