This admission opportunity is open to Military, Para-Military and also qualified civilians for the 2024/2025 academic session. What are the Programmes Offered in Nigerian. Army College of Nursing Sciences?

The following programmes are offered in Nigerian Army College of Nursing Sciences;

  • National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing programmes; The duration of the National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing programmes is for a period of four (4) years. The programmes consist of 8 semesters of 2 semesters in each academic session. More so, on the completion of the first two years National Diploma, graduates proceed for the compulsory one year Internship programme. Further, on completion of the remaining two years, graduates are confirm with Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate in Nursing. Lastly, they also proceed to the one year compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) programme.
  • Registered Community Nursing (RCN): The Community Nursing programme at Nigerian Army College of Nursing is a two years programme of four semesters. The four semesters are further split into two semesters per academic session. More so, on the completion of the programme, the student are enrol to take the final exams by the Nursing and Midwifery council of Nigeria (NMCN). Lastly, they get registered as Registered Community Nurse (RCN) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) with practicing License.

Admission Requirements for Admission into Nigerian Army College of Nursing Sciences

Applicants must possess the following requirments for them to be eligible to apply for admission into Nigerian Army College of Nursing Sciences;

  • First, prospective applicants must have a minimum of five (5) credits pass in their O-level result(s) relevant subjects. Furthermore, the relevant subjects must include English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at a maximum of two sittings. Applicants must upload their O-level result(s) on JAMB CAPS in addition.
  • Secondly, interested applicants must make sure that they are up to seventeen years of age and above before applying. The admission unit will not attain to underage applicants neither will they be considered for admission.
  • More so, the admission is only open for applicants who are Nigerians by birth. Non-Nigerians should not apply.
  • Lastly, applicant must have registered for the just conclude JAMB and chose the Nigerian Army College of Nursing Sciences Lagos as their first choice institution. Those who did not chose the school as their first choice institution must carry out a change of institution on JAMB portal. More so, they must also have taken the UTME examination and score the Nigerian Army College of Nursing Sciences cut off mark and above. Furthermore, the cut off mark for National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing is 160 and above while 130 and above is for Registered Community Nursing (RCN.

Application Closes on: 30th August, 2024

Screening Application Fee; It is a non-refundable fee of N7000

Admission Screening Date; Screening of Candidates starts from 16th to 25th September, 2024.

Admission Screening Venue; The College Computer Bases Test (CBT) Centre

Prospective applicants must note that there will an entrance examination for the selection of the best applicants for admission. Lastly, prospective students must make sure that they adhere to their UTME schedule.

How to Apply for Admission into Nigerian Army College of Nursing Sciences Yaba, Lagos 

The method of application for the admission is OFFLINE. The admission is not done online including the payment of screening application fee.  Therefore, beware of fraudsters. Use the steps below for your application.

  • First visit the Nigerian Army College of Nursing Sciences Lagos premises.
  • Then obtain the application form after payment of the non-refundable screening application.

Dully Completed application form should be submitted with the following credentials;

  • O-Level Result(s)
  • Senior Secondary School Testimonial
  • Birth Certificate
  • Certificate of Origin (State or Local Government of Origin
  • UTME Original Result with candidates’ picture on. It must be printed in colour.
  • Lastly, three recent coloured passport size photograph.
