- Post Basic Nursing: Eighteen (18) Months which is one year and six months
- Basic Nursing: This programme is for those who wishes to undertake National Diploma (ND) Nursing and Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing. The duration of this programmes is four (4) years uninterrupted Programme. Two (2) years for National Diploma (ND) and two (2) years for Higher National Programme (HND) Nursing.
What Are The Requirements For Admission Into Gombe State-College Of Nursing Sciences?

- Applicants for Post Basic Nursing must be a female Registered Midwife (RM) with a current Practicing License. Furthermore, applicant must possess at least five (5) credit passes in their O-level result(s) (WAEC, SSCE/GCE, NECO or NABTEB) relevant subjects which must include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry at not more than two sittings. More so, applicants with NABTEB result will not be allowed to be combine with any other results. This is because candidates with NABTEB must have all required five (5) credits in one result in addition.
- Applicants for Basic Nursing National Diploma (ND) must obtain a JAMB (UTME) score of 160 points and above in the following UTME subjects combination: Use of English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Furthermore, they must make Gombe State College of Nursing Sciences their first choice institution on JAMB portal.
- Both National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing must have at least five (5) credit passes in their O-level result(s) (WAEC, SSCE/GCE, NECO) relevant subjects which must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry at not more than two sittings. More so, applicants with NABTEB result will not be allowed to combine it with any other results. This is because candidates with NABTEB must have all required five (5) credits in one result in addition.
Other Requirements
- The age limit for application is between the ages of 16 – 35 years of age. Interested applicants below 16 years of age should not apply and those above 35 years of age need not apply too.
- Interested applicants with awaiting O-level result should not apply too. Note that even if they do, he / she will not be considered as there is no provision for awaiting result.
- Furthermore, interested applicants for Post Basic Nursing programme are to pay a non-refundable application fee of fifteen thousand Naira (N15000) only excluding transaction charges. More so, applicants for Basic Nursing (ND/HND) Nursing are to pay additional two thousand Naira (N2000) only excluding service charges as JAMB screening fee.
